In those few words, 12-year-old Jacob Landwehr caught the sentiment echoed by friends, well-wishers and 150 participants for the namesake of the Esahak-Gage Triathlon Benefit.
Landwehr, an Altadena Middle School student, finished first in the men's 17-and-under division.
The benefit at the Ahwatukee Foothills YMCA on Jan. 28 raised more than $10,000 toward George Esahak-Gage's medical expenses.
