A new mom-and-grandma bakery has opened in Ahwatukee Foothills, featuring recipes passed down at least three generations and offering one of the hottest desserts today - elaborately decorated cupcakes.
Bobbie Griego, who opened the bakery with her mother Linda King, had read that cupcakes are real chic in California and elsewhere and discovered quickly at the new Cake Café that there is also a demand for them here.
"Cupcakes are the in thing right now. At Christmas time, I had to make cupcakes every single day," Griego said. "Cupcakes are a huge hit."
